The following discussion is an archived debate of the proposed deletion of the miscellaneous page below. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on the appropriate discussion page (such as the page's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this page.

The result of the discussion was Keep, but archiving (whatever that would mean) or blanking the page are options that might be pursued. A look at Wikipedia talk:Long-term abuse shows that there has been some discussion in the past about what to do with older LTA pages generally, so perhaps some further discussion there would help work out a plan. --RL0919 (talk) 00:59, 17 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia:Long-term abuse/SummerThunder[edit]

Kept in May 2009 because "a one year hiatus is not unusual". However, per this edit back in 2008, the editor hasn't touched the project in over two years now. Just over a year is hardly "long term abuse"; is there any real need to keep this? The only edits since the last MFD have been completely insignificant and show no evidence that the user will ever return. Since this user wasn't a long term vandal, the note at WP:LOBU is sufficient. Weak keep because it would be helpful for people to know about this time-waster if he decides to come back. It sure seemed like he was here longer than a year. Grandmasterka 17:17, 4 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

  • Keep. Should this user come back, this would be a valuable resource in helping identify his highly distinctive editing style. Perhaps this page could be moved to Wikipedia:Long-term abuse/Full or a new subpage for historical LTA subpages, though I wouldn't do so until this debate is concluded. szyslak (t) 17:57, 4 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete. Agree with nomination points. The abuse has stopped, we should move on. --SmokeyJoe (talk) 11:53, 5 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
  • Otherwise, blank, as long as the person doesn't resume abuse. --SmokeyJoe (talk) 01:44, 12 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep this and all other LTA pages; too much Wikipedia culture has been lost already to unnecessary deletions. This isn't an encyclopedia article, so there is no harm in keeping it around in project space. No objection to marking historical or moving to a different location. *** Crotalus *** 17:09, 11 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
