FC Porto's record in international club competitions is the best among Portuguese association football teams. They have won two UEFA Champions League (1987, 2004) and two UEFA Europa League (2003, 2011) titles, one UEFA Super Cup (1987), and two Intercontinental Cups (1987, 2004). They were also the runners-up in the Cup Winners' Cup in 1984 – their first European final – and in the UEFA Super Cup in 2003, 2004, and 2011. They played their first international competition match against Athletic Bilbao for the 1956–57 European Cup, and have qualified every season for UEFA competitions since 1974–75. After their 1986–87 European Cup success, Porto won the UEFA Super Cup and the Intercontinental Cup in their first appearances, and they remain the only Portuguese team to have won either of these trophies. Tomislav Ivić and José Mourinho, former head coaches, each won a record two international titles. Former Portuguese goalkeeper and captain Vítor Baía holds the club record for most international appearances (99), while Colombian striker Radamel Falcao holds the record for goals, with 22. Statue of Herbert Chapman

Since 1897, there have been eighteen permanent and seven caretaker managers of Arsenal Football Club. Prior to the given date, the position of selecting the team was undertaken by a committee of directors. The most successful person to manage Arsenal is incumbent manager Arsène Wenger, who has won three Premier League titles, six FA Cups and six Community Shields since his appointment in October 1996. Wenger is the club's longest-serving manager; he surpassed George Allison's record of 13 years in October 2009. Seven managers have won the league as Arsenal manager, five of which on two or more occasions. Bertie Mee guided the club to its first European success in 1970 by winning the Inter-Cities Fairs Cup, a feat George Graham bettered during his reign as Arsenal triumphed in the European Cup Winners' Cup. Scotsman Stewart Houston managed the club in two separate spells as caretaker during the 1990s. Two Arsenal managers have died in the job – Herbert Chapman (statue pictured) in 1934 and Tom Whittaker 22 years later. (Full list...)
