Modus operandi[edit]

Zhoban (born 1987/1988)[1][2] is a sockpuppeteer who was indefinitely banned on October 26, 2012, under suspicion that his account was a sockpuppet of the long-term abuser Fragments of Jade. Prior to this, Zhoban was blocked on September 21, 2012, for uncivil behavior and on September 24, 2012, for abusing multiple accounts. Further investigation has strongly indicated that Zhoban and Fragments of Jade are separate editors. Zhoban is suspected to have utilized over 150 sockpuppets and I.P. addresses.

Zhoban principally targets Islamic terrorism-related articles, with an emphasis upon adding unreliable and largely speculative sources. To a minor extent, this user edits video game and film articles. Generally, initial edits made by Zhoban contain no edit summaries, while edits made past revisions of his edits include taunting and ad hominen statements. Editors who oppose his edits receive taunting and threatening talk page messages, generally with accompanying accusations of stalking.
