Why is a wikitable sortable not able to sort?[edit]

Re this article: List of heaviest people. In the very first line of computer code, the table is listed as class="wikitable sortable". Why is it not appearing as a sortable table? Thanks. Joseph A. Spadaro (talk) 00:26, 30 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Joseph A. Spadaro: It's sortable but the sorting icons are not displayed. See Help:Sorting#Background colors in sortable headers. PrimeHunter (talk) 00:31, 30 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@PrimeHunter: Thanks. With your help above, I seem to have fixed the problem. Thanks. Joseph A. Spadaro (talk) 00:48, 30 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

There are 3 birth years on her page: 1975, 1964/1965. Should something be corrected on her page 2001:569:7D97:D200:BD20:931:ACF7:818D (talk) 01:11, 30 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Two recent edits changed the DoB without explanation. I have restored the previous version. Eagleash (talk) 02:38, 30 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Upright lead images are auto-cropped in the popups that occur when one hovers over such an article reference. Can this cropping be controlled by hints in the referenced article's infobox parameters?[edit]

The pop-up shows Mills from the upper lip down. I wonder what the best way would be to show her head.

Search results need be changed :-" the strongest region in the world"[edit]

Search results need to be changed because if it was in Ethiopia maybe or could be ok but "in the world" not Tigray. that's not accurate information should be changed people should trust Wikipedia for accurate information.

You would need to contact Google about that! Wikipedia has no control over how Google show their results for the search term "the strongest region in the world". Theroadislong (talk) 15:50, 30 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Pfft, everyone knows the strongest region in the world is 'Murica.
On a more serious note, Millionkebede, this has nothing to do with Wikipedia and everything to do with how search engines work; they look for strings of text and pull up the most relevant results, especially if you typed in the string with quotes. —Tenryuu 🐲 ( 💬 • 📝 ) 15:55, 30 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I do wonder why Google shows Tigray Region for that search. The string "strong" doesn't occur in the article so it doesn't appear in a Wikipedia search. PrimeHunter (talk) 18:00, 30 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I'm not even sure what "the strongest region in the world" means. Strong in what quality? {The poster formerly known as 87.81.230.195} 2.121.163.176 (talk) 20:26, 30 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Question related to DYK[edit]

Hi. At WP:DYK one of the requirements is that an article has to have reached GA status within the last seven days. Does this have to be an article that you nominated, or could you nominate any article that has reached GA status within the last seven days? Thank you. versacespaceleave a message! 16:18, 30 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@VersaceSpace: There's no restriction. From WP:DYKNOM, "Any registered user may nominate a DYK suggestion". -- John of Reading (talk) 16:30, 30 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Template requests go where?[edit]

Do requests to create a semi-protected template belong at CAT:ESP or WP:RT? There are a large number at CAT:ESP currently to create sandbox templates for various country data, and I am wondering if that is the right place for those requests. See for example Template_talk:Country_data_Dominica and other at Special:Contributions/62.73.207.204 RudolfRed (talk) 17:59, 30 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Profiling a Foundation: <<Toyin Amuzu Foundation>>[edit]

Please I need help on how to profile a Foundation on Wikipedia <<Toyin Amuzu Foundation>>

Hello, FederalQ. I'm afraid the answer is that you don't. Wikipedia does not contain "profiles" - not one. What it contains is articles - neutrally written, and based entirely on reliably published sources. If there are enough independent reliable sources that treat the Foundation to establish that it meets Wikipedia's criteria for notability, then we could have an article on it: the article will not belong to the Foundation, and will not necessarily say what the Foundation would like it to say (that's why I say it will not be a profile).
Creating a new article is one of the hardest tasks there is for new editors, so my advice would be to put the idea aside for a few months while you gain experience and understanding by improving some of our six million existing articles; but when you are ready to try, please start by reading your first article. --ColinFine (talk) 21:07, 30 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
