Template problem[edit]

Hey guys,
I've noticed that in Category:Establishments in Italy there is a subcategory Category:Italian television series debuts. IMO, this shouldn't be there but I don't know how to fix it. I've also noticed that Category:Establishments in the Netherlands, Category:Establishments in Norway and Category:Establishments in the United Kingdom‎ have the same subcategory issue. I have no idea how wide it goes beyond this. As far as I can see WP:TfD is not the correct venue for raising this problem (feel free to correct me if you think I'm wrong!). So after trying the teahouse and posting a help me template on my talkpage I thought I'd try here. --Dutchy45 (talk) 06:38, 1 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Dutchy45: Observe that Category:Establishments has a sub-category Category:Establishments by type, which in turn has a sub-category Category:Television series debuts. I suggest, then, that you should discuss this at Category talk:Establishments so that interested editors can decide whether a television series debut should count as a kind of "establishment". It would be appropriate to ping BrownHairedGirl when you begin the discussion, since she set up the categories and templates. -- John of Reading (talk) 07:31, 1 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Note that the discussion is at Category talk:Establishments#Exclude_TV_series_debuts_from_Establishments_in_countryname. I have notified the relevant WikiProjects. --BrownHairedGirl (talk) • (contribs) 23:06, 1 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Remove content[edit]

How can i remove an article written about me in Wikipedia?--2600:1016:B01D:B7F2:C57A:1DF6:4B3D:6AA3 (talk) 10:16, 1 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

That very much depends on who you are. If you a notable enough to have an article on Wikipedia, it is highly unlikely that it will be deleted. If you are not notable enough, then it is highly likely that it will be deleted, per WP:NBIO. What is the article in question? Mjroots (talk)

Updating a family tree[edit]

Hi all. I would like to update a family tree (at Chamorro (family)) with two additional entries I’ve written (Jaime Chamorro Cardenal and Juan Sebastián Chamorro, plus probably latter's mother who is not yet listed), but I’m struggling to do it myself. Is there a good place to ask for help with that? (I looked through the Graphics Lab and it doesn’t quite seem like their thing.) Thanks for any guidance. Hello, Innisfree987. Try WP:WikiProject Genealogy. --ColinFine (talk) 19:46, 1 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
ColinFine, genius, thank you! Innisfree987 (talk) 19:49, 1 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

draft submit[edit]

I have submitted a page to be added to wikipedia. I want to confirm if it has been submitted for approval. I used the move option on the sandbox and chose wikipedia and edited the title. @Gpan13: I added a header to your question. The draft is now at Draft:Feels Like Ishq. You can submit it for review by placing {{subst:submit}} at the top. I suggest going through the guidance at WP:YFA before you submit it. RudolfRed (talk) 21:27, 1 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Gpan13: I made some minor improvements and added a couple of better known sources to show notability. It's a copy edit task now, but should be approved. David Nemec[edit]

Molly,

My user name is Katey Kazak. I want to add myself to the list of notable people from Bay Village, Ohio. My credentials as a fiction writer and a nationally known authority on nineteenth century major league baseball speak for themselves. They are verified on Wikipedia and elsewhere on the Internet. I am very low tech, however, and unable to enter them myself on the Bay Village site. Please contact me if further information is needed. Katey Kazak (talk) 22:55, 1 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Katey Kazak: You'd have to establish that you're notable by Wikipedia's standards. If you're able to provide reliable sources that can attest to such notability, an article may be written about you. —Tenryuu 🐲 ( 💬 • 📝 ) 23:12, 1 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
To expand a bit, generally a person can be added to a list of notable people only if they already have a separate Wikipedia article about them. So the first step would be for someone (probably not you; see WP:AUTOBIOGRAPHY) to create a Wikipedia article about you, which would require you to meet Wikipedia's notability criteria. WP:NAUTHOR has information about specific notability criteria for authors. CodeTalker (talk) 23:42, 1 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Katey Kazak: did you also have a question about the article at David Nemec? RudolfRed (talk) 01:32, 2 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
It looks like they were trying to add Nemec's name to the Bay Village, Ohio article. This has now been done.--Shantavira|feed me 08:30, 2 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
