Blueberry Markets deleted page[edit]

Hi,

I am trying to understand why the company page for Blueberry Markets was deleted as all claims were correctly referenced.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Regards, Dean — Preceding unsigned comment added by Dfk.hyde (talkcontribs) 02:58, 8 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

The reason was described at User talk:Kajimarun#Speedy deletion nomination of Blueberry Markets. --David Biddulph (talk) 05:25, 8 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Hello, Dfk.hyde. Like many people, you seem to have the misconception that Wikipedia is a place to promote a business. It is not. Wikipedia is not much interested in what the subject of an article says or thinks, and not interested in the slightest in how the subject of an article wishes to be portrayed. It is only interested in what people who have no connection with the subject have published about the subject; and if there is little or no such information published then no article about the subject will be accepted. --ColinFine (talk) 10:45, 8 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Confirmation of ownership when uploading an image[edit]

I would like to upload several images on behalf of a living person (who is owner of the images and is, in turn, the object of the relevant Wikipedia article).

As I cannot affirm that I am owner, please advise the procedure. Should that person send me the images by e-mail and in that e-mail affirm that he authorises myself to upload the images on his behalf? If so, is there a template for such an e-mail? To whom should I forward that e-mail? Duncan.france (talk) 03:59, 8 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

The process is described at WP:Donating copyrighted material. --David Biddulph (talk) 05:22, 8 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I asked a simple question, names and pictures of the 1982 eagles cheerleaders[edit]

why won't you show me pictures with names of the 1982 eagles cheerleaders? I used to work with one of them.I just want to see what she looked like back then.I was 18 then. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 173.62.188.75 (talk) 11:52, 8 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. I'm not sure where you asked this question, as this is the only posting from your IP address. This is an encyclopaedia: we don't directly answer questions, except at desks like this (where we answer questions about editing Wikipedia), and the Reference Desk. The answer to your question is probably that we don't have a relevant picture, and I doubt that the names of cheerleaders would be regarded as encyclopaedic. I think you'll need to go to a website more closely associated with the team. (Incidentally, I have no idea at all which team you are talking about). --ColinFine (talk) 14:46, 8 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Oh come on Colin, guess the team, you've got 1 in 36 chance of being correct. - X201 (talk) 14:55, 8 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
The Philadelphia Eagles are the best known, they existed in 1982, they have cheerleaders, and they are in Pennsylvania like the IP address. What do I win? PrimeHunter (talk) 22:24, 8 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
A rousing cheer. Rah! Rah! PrimeHunter's the Man! If he can't guess it, no one can! Gooooo, PrimeHunter! Clarityfiend (talk) 12:18, 9 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Adding information[edit]

I am trying to add information onto Prodigy's last albums page, The Hegelian Dialectic (The Book Of Revelation). I executive produced, recorded and mixed this album. Tony Gillis mastered it. I tried adding to the side panel of album information but was unsuccessful. How do I go about properly adding tabs such as: Executive producers, mixing engineer, recording engineer, and mastering engineer? — Preceding unsigned comment added by JoeTheEngineEar (talkcontribs) 13:30, 8 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

You can't add them. There are only a number of set fields in the Infobox, and the Wikipedia community has decided (Sorry for being blunt about this) that those job roles aren't notable enough to be listed. Sorry. On other matters, a quick read of WP:COI would be best, as you have a conflict of interest. - X201 (talk) 13:43, 8 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Problems finding comments page on "Alternative Medicine"[edit]

I am looking everywhere on the page of a controversial topic: Alternative Medicine. I simply want to read feedback from other readers who might have found disagreement with the things that were said. Do I have to get into "edit"? "Community"? Again, I am not interested in editing or commenting, only in reading previous comments. Is it possible? — Preceding unsigned comment added by DanielDejardin (talkcontribs) 14:35, 8 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@DanielDejardin: "Edit" would edit the article. The Talk page (Talk:Alternative medicine) is where discussion about article improvement goes. However, articles only cite and summarize professionally-published mainstream academic sources. Ian.thomson (talk) 14:38, 8 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
There isn't a comments page. -Roxy the dog. bark 14:41, 8 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
If you're talking about the Feedback Tool, that function was withdrawn in 2014. Alternatively there's the article talk page at Talk:Alternative medicine, but that's for discussing improvements to the article, which is feedback of a sort. - X201 (talk) 14:44, 8 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Note that that talk page also has 27 archives of older pages of discussion. RJFJR (talk) 14:52, 8 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Category: 2018 in baseball[edit]

Can you move the Category 2018 in baseball from the talk page to the draft page please. 2600:8803:7A00:976A:F9A1:1201:A819:CC70 (talk) 17:35, 8 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I deleted the category talk that you created. You can recreate it in an appropriate place. Ruslik_Zero 20:38, 8 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Question about translation from another language Wikipedia[edit]

I read, speak and understand Spanish at a quite advanced level but nowhere near proficiency. Are non-proficient Wikipedia editors allowed to translate articles from foreign language Wikipedias into English, and if so, how do I get the attention of a proficient speaker to take a look at the article afterward and check for potential errors? CJK09 (talk · contribs) 22:50, 8 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

You asked the same question at the Teahouse and someone gave you an excellent answer there. RivertorchFIREWATER 04:06, 9 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
