Help with Page creation[edit]

Hi,

I am trying to create a Wikipedia page for New Heights Education Group, Ohio. I volunteer with them and would like to submit an article.

The current account I was using kept disapproving the article submitted. Now it says the page may have been deleted as it was not edited for 6 months.

Could you please help me with this?

@NewHeights1: given that in order to have a wikipedia article, the subject must meet some minimum requirements like having had significant coverage about the subject in reliably published sources that are independent from the subject and it doesnt appear that any news organization has written about the subject at all, it is unlikely that anyone can help "fix" that.

Please delete item under Accomplishments - Father of the Year (2007) and Runner Up (2008)

2007 was the year this person committed a murder-suicide of his family.

Done I've removed 'Father of the Year' as clear vandalism - thank you for letting us know. You can also make an edit request on protected articles in the future

If you are referring to your edit to E Clampus Vitus, the error message said "Cite error: There are <ref> tags on this page without content in them (see the help page).", and the word "help" was in blue to indicate that it was a wikilink, in this case to Help:Cite errors/Cite error ref no input. giant white space under Table of Contents on pages with infoboxes[edit]

Note: yes, I'm seeing the same "effect" also with images, added in a section, that are longer than the section. Btw, this effect doesn't appear in other WP editions. If you fixed something, it doesn't appear to be fixed at this moment in time in IE 11, even when I do an Alt-F5. It appears to work in Chrome 47. • Sbmeirow • Talk • 21:58, 12 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

My fix worked but was reverted because it apparently broke other things. I doubt it was worse than literally millions (according to a small Special:Random sample) of articles with a large gap before the first section heading. Need help with infobox film[edit]

I have inserted a TV-film infoboks in The March (1990 film) with some success. The annoying part is that the box seams to have pushed the first chapter down under the box, for no apparent reason. Infoboxes aren't known to cause such problems. Could someone take a look and fix it.--Ezzex (talk) 19:39, 12 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Flying the American Flag[edit]

We have been told that No other flag can fly with the American Flag on the same pole. Yet, we see many flags, i.e. POWS, Marine, Navy etc. on the same pole below the American flag. Help:Cite errors/Cite error references duplicate key[edit]

see Battle of Buna–Gona there is one cite error in this article. It has only just 'appeared'. Tried pasting the first over the second to make them identical but didn't work. Help! Cinderella157 (talk) 23:39, 12 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

@Cinderella157: The error message comes from a check recently added to the MediaWiki software. It's supposed to report different definitions of the same ref name but in this case the article has two identical:

{{sfn|Blakeley|1956|p=67|ps=. Cited in Advance to Buna – Part 2 of The 32nd 'Red Arrow' Infantry Division in World War II.<ref name=32ndDiv/>}}

The use of {{sfn}} creates the ref name FOOTNOTEBlakeley195667. The nested reference <ref name=32ndDiv/> apparently causes an error not currently covered by the linked help page Help:Cite errors/Cite error references duplicate key (written by me). @PrimeHunter, thanks for the reply. I had previously run HarvErrors.js without errors. The recently added error check has identified as an error something which was not in error? @User:Matma Rex, thank you for your reply and suggestion; however, some of my frustration is that this nested citation was working perfectly well before the new software and was not an error when HarvErrors.js was run. My point is that this error would appear to be an artifact of the software! Nested references are quite appropriate and even necessary if compliance with policies of accuracy in citing and verifiability are to be followed. @PrimeHunter, thanks, I appreciate your efforts but did you look at the resultant citation? It looks like this:

This doesn't make a lot of sense compared with how it looks originally even if it does get rid of the reference error.

@PrimeHunter, just noticed that you used {{sfn}} and not {{harvnb}} as suggested. Just tried it with {{harvnb}} and it looks like it should thanks. @User:Matma Rex, I am still a little concerned that this is an artifact of the new software that has created an 'apparent' problem and has made a reasonable task more problematic?
