Multiple issues tag[edit]

After an article has been improved and the issues have been fixed how does one get rid of the tag and the box at the top of the page? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anthony_L._Komaroff

Thank you. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.109.39.177 (talk) 21:49, 4 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

...Well, personally, looking at the article, I don't really believe those issues are solved. But the tag is transcluded at the top of the page like so: {{Multiple issues|BLP sources = April 2012|orphan = April 2012|primary sources = April 2012}}. - Purplewowies (talk) (How's my driving?) 22:22, 4 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Edit summary search[edit]

I thought it was possible to do a search for words in edit summaries. Does anyone know if/how I can do that? Specifically I want to search for the phrase "added wikify tag using AWB". Ryan Vesey Review me! 00:27, 4 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

If you are hoping to search the edit summaries of one user's edits, then this tool is the one you need. A search for "added wikify tag using AWB" won't work, though, because AWB uses wikilinks for parts of its edit summaries, and uses "tags" rather than "tag" when it adds more than one in the same edit. I suggest you search for just [[WP:WFY|wikify]] - Example search. -- John of Reading (talk) 08:05, 4 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks, too bad there isn't one that searches all recent edits, but this will be useful. Thanks again Ryan Vesey Review me! 13:08, 4 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

how to edit the title of Employees?[edit]

I would like to edit the title of Employees to Team members for the company -- Global Sources (in the box at the up right corner). But it seems Employees is a default (?) title as I have tried to change it though unsuccessful...

Any ways that I can do such edit? Many thanks for your kind attention.

Templates only display parameters set in the template, not additions where the template is included. You could suggest the change at Template talk:Infobox company, but while key people might be notable and encyclopedic, it's difficult to see how employees would be. Dru of Id (talk) 04:57, 4 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
In other words, the title you're trying to change is permanently set for all company pages, so you won't be able to change it. The title you want would be company promotion anyway -- companies have employees, while "team members" is more of a buzzword. It seems this user has been blocked for promotion anyway though. Equazcion (talk) 05:02, 4 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I have tagged the article concerned Global Sources for doubtful notability. Roger (talk) 09:26, 4 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Vandalism by a registered user[edit]

Registered user Fight-me-now committed vandalism in several instances:

I have reverted two of the instances and a robot took care of another, but should anything else be done? --Mortense (talk) 11:28, 4 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

If he vandalises again after the final warning, you can report him at WP:AIV. - David Biddulph (talk) 11:33, 4 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Tim Robbins The Actor[edit]

How can we send a message to Tim Robbins requesting him to remain in the movie industry as well as the field of music. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.12.235.162 (talk) 12:35, 4 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I suspect, based on your question, that you found one of our over 6 million articles and thought we were affiliated in some way with that subject. Please note that you are at Wikipedia, the free online encyclopedia that anyone can edit, and this page is for asking questions related to using or contributing to Wikipedia itself. Thus, we have no special knowledge about the subject of your question. You can, however, search our vast catalogue of articles by typing a subject into the search field on the upper right side of your screen. If you cannot find what you are looking for, we have a reference desk, divided into various subject areas, where asking knowledge questions is welcome. Best of luck.--Orange Mike | Talk 12:37, 4 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
According to his filmreference.com entry, he is represented by International Creative Management; their contact page is here, but you should confirm with them. Dru of Id (talk) 14:13, 4 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

There is no reason you should not be able to edit that page. Perhaps you problem is that you cannot find an edit link like there are next to the section headings? To edit items in the lede section of an article you must click the "edit this page" tab at the top of the page. This will open an edit window for the whole article instead of just one individual section. SpinningSpark 13:57, 4 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
The op couldn't make the corrections since the vandalism from 30 April had already been reverted, and was seeing the previous version. The other requested changes are in the infobox, and may not have used the top row tab. Dru of Id (talk) 14:05, 4 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
...And they've now made the changes. Dru of Id (talk) 14:07, 4 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
One more point, JenniferMyers17: it is not "our Valley Forge Military Academy & College page", and if you think it is you should probably read conflict of interest. You'll see that correcting verifiable factual information is generally fine, but you will need to be more cautious about any other edits to the article. --ColinFine (talk) 15:30, 4 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Unfortunately, that article shows all the earmarks of a walled garden long tended by COI accounts. It's poorly formatted, filled with smarm and braggartry and microscopic bits of trivia about non-notable alumni and cadet ranks (past and present) and the like. It needs cleanup, including purging and wikification and restoration of NPOV.
Agreed. Wentworth Military Academy and College, which is the other private Junior Military Academy in the template at the bottom looks in much better shape. While certainly not up to GA standards, I think using the WMAC article as a guide would be several steps in the right direction.Naraht (talk) 21:00, 4 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Image not rendering[edit]

Hi, a quick fix needed, restoring this article, Neymar, to its pre-vandal state of 4 days ago, I've managed to get everything back right, except the image in the info box is not rendering, can't see why not. Here's the diff that vandalized the infobox, the text I'm putting back looks exactly the same but no image. What am I missing? Cheers! CaptainScreebo Parley! 15:36, 4 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

This! -- John of Reading (talk) 15:49, 4 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Well spotted, just couldn't see it as all goggle-eyed reverting the incessant vandalism, page now protected for a month, too, many thanks. CaptainScreebo Parley! 16:00, 4 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I am the main admin for this page but it has blocked me and told me I can not edit this I need to update my page could you please tell me how this can be done without it reverting back and blocking me

You are not "the main admin for this page": see WP:OWN. Furthermore, I guess you are associated with the company: if so, you must read WP:COI because you have a conflict of interest. If there are changes you want made to the page, suggest them on the talk page, Talk:GDF SUEZ Energy Resources NA. The most important thing you can do is to provide citations to independent reliable sources for the information in the article. --ColinFine (talk) 15:57, 4 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

List of articles in a WikiProject[edit]

Hi, is there an easy way to look up the "list of articles" in a Wikiproject? Or at least the list of key articles? If the list of categories can be found, then those lead to the articles anyway in most cases. Thanks. History2007 (talk) 17:45, 4 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Every WikiProject has an associated category that lists all articles that have been included in the project by having the Project's template placed on the talk page - "Category:WikiProject Foobar articles". Roger (talk) 18:16, 4 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Colette Boky video needed[edit]

Marleau, or anyone who has contributed to the Colette Boky article: I am looking for a video of Boky in La Voix Humaine, directed by Peter Simcox, possibly for the BBC. Can you help? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.7.49.193 (talk) 23:36, 4 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

@Orangemike - There is a Colette Boky article and User:Marleau is a significant contributor to it.
@69.7.49.193 - The chances of User:Marleau ever seeing this question here is very small. You should post your request to User talk:Marleau or on the article's Talk page - Talk:Colette Boky where all contributors that have the page watchlisted would see it. Roger (talk) 06:30, 5 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
