Low-quality, illegible bot resize, possibly eligible for deletion unless replaced with a reasonable quality. Ntx61 (talk) 06:04, 20 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Delete illegible, does not help me understand the subject. — Alexis Jazz (talk or ping me) 15:14, 20 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Well, if I am correct, admins can technically undelete the RevDel'd version, resize it down to a reasonable quality, then tag it for no reduction. If it fails other WP:NFCC rules, then it can be deleted altogether. Ntx61 (talk) 19:25, 20 December 2020 (UTC) (updated Ntx61 (talk) 19:26, 20 December 2020 (UTC))[reply]
@Ntx61: True, but Task Manager (Windows) already has several other images. I'm not quite convinced this one adds much to the reader's understanding, but I'm open to hearing arguments in favor of it. — Alexis Jazz (talk or ping me) 12:39, 21 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Source and Permission (and the correct license, CC BY 4.0, not BY-SA) should be added to Commons though. If nobody is willing to do that, we may consider keeping a local copy with this info as it would put the Commons file at risk of deletion. — Alexis Jazz (talk or ping me) 13:03, 20 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Greetings. If i'm not mistaken the correct license has been added to the Commons file? In any case, feel free to edit the Commons file appropriately and delete the local one, as i am not that familiar to do so myself and be 100% sure. Thank you.--Αρκάς (talk) 14:02, 20 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Αρκάς: No, the Commons file does not list source and permission and the license on Commons is {{cc-by-sa-4.0}} instead of {{cc-by-4.0}}. I'm unable to edit the page. — Alexis Jazz (talk or ping me) 14:08, 20 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Alexis Jazz:I gave it a try.--Αρκάς (talk) 14:16, 20 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Αρκάς: Thank you, the source and permission are now correct! Could you also change {{cc-by-sa-4.0}} to {{cc-by-4.0}} in the licensing section? — Alexis Jazz (talk or ping me) 15:08, 20 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Alexis Jazz: Done!--Αρκάς (talk) 15:12, 20 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Αρκάς: Thank you! I will tag the local file for removal to allow the Commons file to be shown here instead as the filenames currently cause a conflict. (this conflict will be resolved by the removal of the local file) — Alexis Jazz (talk or ping me) 15:17, 20 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Is this image free to use per c:COM:TOO US or non-free/fair use? If fair use, then I'm not convinced that the image improves the understanding of the song "I Will Always Love You", so I don't think it would meet WP:NFCC#8. This image is used for digital/streaming single release of Kristin Chenoweth and Dolly Parton's duet take on the song, released one year ago. However, to this date, if non-free, not enough critical commentary of the release itself can support the usage of the cover art. The "Kristin Chenoweth version" section is small, and the recording itself hasn't been listed on music charts. On the other hand, if free, then it should be transferred to Commons. Delete. This file does not add any contextual significance to its article, failing WP:NFCCP#8. The track listing, cited in the song's article, is not featured on the front cover, rendering it superfluous. It's basically just an eyesore in the article either way. The Dolly Parton and Vince Gill duet recording of "I Will Always Love You" was in Billboard and Canadian RPM country charts in 1995 and was nominated a Grammy (but probably didn't win). However, I'm unconvinced that the charts would suffice as part of critical commentary. Furthermore, the "1995 version" section is I find somewhat bloated, may need reliable sources, and may or may not need to be merged into one of sections. The image may not have improved the understanding of the song and may fail WP:NFCC#8. George Ho (talk) 01:23, 13 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

This cover art belongs to the 1976 US promotional material of "It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year". (45cat, discogs, ebay (1), ebay (2)) Any promo single like this one should not be used, especially per WP:NFCC#4 or WP:NFCC#5. There are retail single releases, like Canadian one, British one featuring a woman on cover, or a sheet music. Any of those are more suitable than this cover. British reissue artwork doesn't increase the understanding of The Andy Williams Christmas Album, especially with insufficient critical commentary, and may not likely meet WP:NFCC#8. It provides a photo of the singer and album title, but so does the (other) standard artwork, which is more preferable and widely used. It may also fail WP:NFCC#3a. I fear that my PROD on the screenshot would be challenged. Indeed, it was used in the article at the time of GA promotion. Now I'm listing it here for my concerns about its compliance with WP:NFCC#8 and WP:NFCC#1. The description about the music video of "Dear Jessie" is already understood in words without this image's help. Furthermore, the screenshot merely depicts an animated Madonna as Tinker Bell, though the singer wasn't in the video. Moreover, critical commentary isn't sufficient enough to support the usage of the screenshot. In conclusion, the screenshot has not improve the understanding of the song or the music video. These are all either simple shapes, using the current main Google logo font that is PD according to the licensing of a ton of logos on Commons, or in the case of Fusion Tables very similar to other Google logos [i.e. Google Sheets' logo] — Preceding unsigned comment added by DemonDays64 (talkcontribs) 00:56, 21 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Clindberg: I checked, all appear to be from the US and below TOO. File:Google Authenticator for Android icon.svg, File:Google-helpouts.png, File:Google Safe Browsing.svg and File:Google Fit icon (2018).svg seem to be the most complex ones, but still below US TOO I think. File:Google Authenticator for Android icon.svg may be on the edge though. Any comment? — Alexis Jazz (talk or ping me) 13:19, 21 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Alexis Jazz: I don't know why you included the cover art of Kristina & Dolly's (re-)take of the song in the section about Google logos. You can comment at #File:DollyKristinAlwaysLove.jpeg if you can. George Ho (talk) 13:30, 21 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
