OriginalCabinet card of Belva Ann Lockwood, an attorney, politician, educator, and author. She was active in working for women's rights, including women's suffrage. She also ran for President of the United States, and was the first woman to do so who was actually eligible for the position. (Victoria Woodhull campaigned before her, but was too young to meet the constitutional requirement)
Reason
This image hasn't had the best luck, first being nominated before it was finished, and then nominated during a dead period and failing to reach quorum. Still, I think it's an excellent image.
