There is a lot of text in the lead of this article that does not appear elsewhere but is uncited, such as Later, however, politics began to play a part, with citizens who disagreed with the present county government simply petitioning the state to create a new county and the time zone stuff, the population ranges between the infobox and the table don't match for the two extremes, and the sources "Click and Learn" and "Kentucky Comprehensive Genealogy Database" are likely not RS. I've made a number of changes in the model of my recent List of counties in Washington FL, including updating populations, replacing the sources you noted with a better one for the origins, removing the time zones, and conforming the footers. I found The Kentucky Encyclopedia in GBooks, and it also cites your quoted text. There's more historical info that could be added from it and other sources I added. I can do a bit more sourcing from these, but I'm probably not interested enough in it to fully flesh out prose sections. Reywas92^Talk 19:18, 22 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

This was my project from a long time ago. I'm no longer very active, but I can probably help here. It would be helpful to have a bulleted list of issues to work from, especially as Reywas92 (talk · contribs) appears to have addressed a few of them already. Comment I don't believe we should be using population estimates at all, but stick with the only official census numbers as do most every city page, and list of cities pages. Has the 2020 census county count been released? If not, it should be soon. Also FIPS numbers are meaningless to >99% of all readers and should probably be removed. Mattximus, The FIPS numbers are links to their respective "QuickFacts" pages in the official census website(it's like a reference column in essence). The official census website is using 2019 estimates for population. They're saying the 2020 census results will be available by September 30, 2021.-Cheetah (talk) 08:36, 24 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Scribetastic was kind enough to update the census populations for all the county lists. I just added a few more sources on local government and could do more if there are specific concerns about the prose, but I think this is reasonably consistent with the other county list FLs and meets the criteria to keep it.
