"A singular president was working in the private sector before their term" - as this refers to one specific woman, I don't see the need for gender neutral language, so I would just say "her term" (I presume this refers to Bair) Also "single" would be more apt than "singular"

Once the table is sorted on any other column, it's impossible to re-sort it into number order. I suggest using hidden sorting templates to make the dashes sort as, say , 2.5, etc.
