  • You're doing a great job Hybrid. The Lonelyboy dispute showed a great deal of restraint and maturity on your part; it's always good to be able to give people a second chance, and equally good to realize when they have squandered that opportunity. Checked out your previous dispute on Talk:Kurt Angle, and though you made some common mistakes, you again showed poise in apologizing publicly and avoiding getting back into any arguments. Clearly a good learning experience, and probably the turning point in your career here. I've checked out your contributions, and although you occassionally show some exasperation in edit summaries of wrestling articles, I can certainly understand that and your edit choices are always sound. I've been editing since around the same time as you (anon since summer '06, set up an account in October) and view you as a model contributor. I would say concentrate on making wise edit decisions, avoid trolls, and keep your eye on the prize. Cheers, --Tractorkingsfan 04:34, 8 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  • I'm not sure what "the prize" is, and if it is what I think it is, that's definitely not the right way to go about things. Apart from that, I agree with Mr. Tractor here. Congratulations on your solid contributions to this project. yandman 14:39, 8 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  • "The prize" doesn't mean anything, apart from good editing and following policies and being a good person here on Wikipedia. I don't know what you thought I was talking about. Adminship? I was just using the expression in an not-so-loaded-with-meaning way. --Tractorkingsfan 20:44, 8 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  • Hybrid, you're a great editor. All of your countless reverts on wrestling articles are greatly appreciated by me and all other editors. Thanks. --  Mikedk9109  (hit me up)  01:16, 9 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Questions

  1. Of your contributions to Wikipedia, are there any about which you are particularly pleased, and why?
I mostly revert vandalism, though I am proud of one particularly huge edit I made to Pikachu because it brought the page a little closer to FA status.[1]
  2. Have you been in any conflicts over editing in the past or do you feel other users have caused you stress? How have you dealt with it and how will you deal with it in the future?
Yes, I have been in a few disputes, and one editor in particular caused me stress. I have been one party in a content dispute in the Kurt Angle article taking place on the talk page. The other party was User:TJ Spyke. I was wrong in the dispute, and I see that now. That was the dispute I learned the most from, as I learned that I need to be willing to question my POV and back up everything I say with sources. My next and most notable dispute took place with User:Twentyboy. This is the user that caused me stress. We were involved in a long, bitter feud on a sub-page that I have since had deleted. This was not a content dispute. The feud ended after we mutually agreed to just drop it, and within days of that incident it turned out that Twentyboy was a sock of a banned user, and he was then banned himself. Since then, I have forgiven Twentyboy for his actions, and my patience is almost limetless since that dispute. After that, I was involved with a very small dispute with User:Rat235478683. It ended with me reporting him for personal attacks, and him receiving a final warning. After that, we have forgiven each other, and have actually worked together on Misty (Pokémon). That was my last notable dispute.
