Tbo_157 (talk · contribs) Hi. I have been editing here for a few months now and I would like comments on what the community thinks of my edits. I believe that this would help me in improving my edits. I enjoy working with WikiProjects as they are essential for community collaborations with articles in the project's scope. I also do some mainspace article work. I would also like to become an admin soon, but only when the community feels that I am ready. Criticism is encouraged so that I can improve my editing. Thanks. • Review by The Random Editor - Okay Tbo 157, here is my promised review. Well I want to begin by saying you contributions look quite good. You have been quite active in article building, especially in The O2 and Millennium Dome. That can be a major plus in a RFA. Your talk space to mainspace ratio is quite nice, 1 in 5 edits on the talk space. And it is also good to see you have been active communicating with editors. Considering your admin coaching page, I going to assume you are interested a little ways down the road trying a RFA. As stated you have some great things going for you mainspace, talkspace, portal space, and even template. However you need get more active project space. Now it is true you have been at WP:CVU-TF, but you need to show yourself active at WP:AIV, WP:UAA, and WP:RPP, areas that need admin attention. Overall you are doing a good job so keep up the good work. --Тhε Rαnδom Eδιτor 19:40, 19 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
  • Review by Jmlk17 - I agree with The Random Editor... you are quite well on your way to becoming a great admin candidate! You seem to be heavily involved in quite a bit around here, and that can only help your cause. My only real suggestion (if you do plan on running on Rfa), is to remain active, plain and simple. Only by editing and fiddling with the Wiki can an editor truly expand their skills. As suggested above, try and get a bit more active in the admin-related areas, and simply keep up the good work so far! :) Oh yeah, and, as always, happy editing! :) Jmlk17 17:14, 16 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Questions

  1. Of your contributions to Wikipedia, are there any about which you are particularly pleased, and why?
As stated above, I enjoy my work with WikiProjects very much. I have contributed the most to Wikipedia:WikiProject London, Wikipedia:WikiProject London Transport, Wikipedia:WikiProject UK Trams, Wikipedia:WikiProject Engineering and I am a member of various other projects including Wikipedia:WikiProject Transport, Wikipedia:WikiProject Trains and Wikipedia:WikiProject Aviation. They are a great way to gain a community collaboration in certain articles and do help in improving articles. I also enjoy working with portals which can act as gateways to a certain article scopes. In the past I have worked with Portal:UK Trams, Portal:Engineering, Portal:London Transport and Portal:London.
  2. Have you been in any conflicts over editing in the past or do you feel other users have caused you stress? How have you dealt with it and how will you deal with it in the future?
I can't really think of such situations in my history of editing here. I like to keep a good community spirit up and solve any disagreements in a calm and civil way. I try to follow WP:NPOV and WP:Civility as much as I can. If i do ever get stressed, I would probably take a wikibreak to cool off. In any discussion the key aim is to gain a community consensus, using policies and common sense as gudelines, and compromsies may be necessary. If everyone follows the community spirit in a calm fashion, then it will be to the benefit of this encyclopedia which can be improved significantly.
