Theowensink → To25[edit]

I didn't realise this username was already taken. I wish to change it to To25w (available). I have a ES Wikipedia account, my username is to25, is it possible to unify them ? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Theowensink (talkcontribs) 00:13, 6 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, it is possible to change your username to "To25". Please follow the instructions at WP:CHUU to get the username usurped. Make sure to make an edit on eswiki in English showing that the SUL does belong to you and post a link to the diff in the request. dmz 00:36, 6 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Not done; no response. I also don't think they own the ru.wiki account, else they would've just came in via SUL. OriJanus, please choose another name or if you are the ru. user, do as Nihonjoe suggests above. –xenotalk 19:36, 11 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Tcgtimmyc → StaxSteamer[edit]

Not done. Promotional usernames are against policy. Useight (talk) 20:58, 11 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Astepintooblivion → ObsidianSoul[edit]

Oh, I didn't know spaces are acceptable, heh. Sure. That will be much better. Thanks--A Step Into Oblivion (talk) 01:09, 14 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
On that note, should I rephrase my current request? I've withdrawn my username change from wikicommons pending this one to avoid clashing later on when deciding to authenticate and unify my accounts.--A Step Into Oblivion (talk) 01:13, 14 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I don't think that will be necessary, the 'crat filling the request should see these comments and rename accordingly. If you want, you can file a new request to be safe, but it shouldn't matter too much. demize (t · c) 01:18, 14 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Gotcha. To clarify to the bureaucrat reading this. My requested name change should be to User:Obsidian Soul, with the space between the two words. Thanks. Also a question: will I still be able to edit while this is being processed? I am currently in the middle of editing/expanding all Banana-related articles. I can stop that though for a few days if necessary while I wait for the move to be finished.--A Step Into Oblivion (talk) 01:32, 14 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, you can continue editing. All your edits will move to your new username as well, so you have nothing to worry about =) demize (t · c) 01:50, 14 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Ok to be safe, since there's a precedent above of another user refiling, I will do the same. Please close this request. Thanks--A Step Into Oblivion (talk) 01:41, 14 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

NestleNW911 → NedNW911[edit]

To be safe, it could be changed, but I would have to agree. We'll probably need the user to decide whether to change it or not, since there isn't much of a problem. It could be seen as promotional by somebody, but my guess is Wifione was taking a precaution from a bot report at UAA. demize (t · c) 14:37, 13 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for your attention! I prefer that my username NOT be changed, now that it's been established that it's not necessary.NestleNW911 (talk) 22:26, 14 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Soinro → Soinro[edit]

yes, but it's my own username, just small letters — Preceding unsigned comment added by Soinro (talkcontribs) 22:18, 15 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

  • All usernames must have an uppercase first letter. (X! · talk)  · @004  ·  23:05, 15 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
  •  Not done unfortunately, the software capitalizes the first letter as mentioned above. –xenotalk 01:56, 16 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

lucngoc → lucngoc[edit]

Not done. It appears you're requesting a username you already have or perhaps you're requesting that your username start with a lowercase letter, which, for technical reasons, cannot be done. Useight (talk) 16:40, 16 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, I am all confident. I ask to change my name. ArmOvak (talk) 07:52, 21 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Be aware that the user ArmOvak is engaged in copyright violations here, and shows no indications of knowing or caring about the copyright rules. He's pretty close to getting indef'd here unless he changes his approach. ←Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? carrots→ 15:00, 21 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not doing is copyright infringement, I gave the explanation for all of my images. ArmOvak (talk) 19:26, 21 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Here is one of ArmOvak's more laughable examples, claiming he owns the copyright to this corporate logo:File:Yerevan metro logo.png. For the full discussion of his off-the-wall interpretation of copyright rules, see User talk:Wknight94. ←Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? carrots→ 18:36, 21 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Especially for you I repeat: According to the rules of Wikipedia this image or logo Yerevan metro logo.png only consists of typefaces, individual words, slogans, or simple geometric shapes. These are not eligible for copyright alone because they are not original enough, and thus the logo is considered to be in the public domain. See WP:PD#Fonts or Wikipedia:Restricted materials for more information. ArmOvak (talk) 19:24, 21 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
