Nominator's rationale: These are overlapping categories. The Kingdom of Great Britain existed from 1707 to 1800 before the formation of the United Kingdom in 1801. None of the child categories (Category:Immigrants to the Kingdom of Great Britain and ‎Category:Emigrants from the Kingdom of Great Britain‎) benefit from the added distinction of regime Mason (talk) 23:36, 3 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Ok, maybe the Category:Immigrants to the Kingdom of Great Britain, but I'm on the fence. Regardless, I still think that this parent category should be merged. Mason (talk) 23:45, 3 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • Merge, it is pointless to keep immigrants and emigrants separate from the other people subcategories. Marcocapelle (talk) 20:44, 4 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • Merge per nom. –Aidan721 (talk) 03:23, 5 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • Merge per nom. Better is the enemy of good, and focus on the political regime rather than the country does not benefit the category structuring. Place Clichy (talk) 10:06, 5 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Nominator's rationale: I can't see why this category is separate from New-York Tribune people. No other newspaper in the Category:Newspaper people by newspaper in the United States (and there are 83 of them) has a "personnel" subcategory. "Personnel" isn't really any more specific than "people." Just move everything into the "people" category and delete "personnel." Dennis C. Abrams (talk) 22:15, 3 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • Merge per nom. –Aidan721 (talk) 22:37, 3 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • Merge per nom. It's reasonable that this newspaper should follow the same category structure as used with other newspapers.4meter4 (talk) 22:39, 3 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
