Category:American primetime television dramas[edit]

Nominator's rationale: Very underpopulated category without clear differentiation from Category:American drama television series. With the exception of daytime soap operas, which already have their own separate category anyway, all other drama series on American television are inherently primetime dramas, because primetime is when American television runs any and all scripted fiction series that aren't daytime soap operas. Which means there should literally be thousands of articles in this category, because there have been thousands of prime time television dramas produced in the United States since television first became a thing, but there are actually just 15 -- and since they're all already categorized in by-decade categories like Category:1990s American drama television series and/or genre categories like Category:American crime drama television series as it is, and a fully populated category would be too large and need to be diffused anyway, there's no pressing need for this to exist as a separate category from the drama television series tree that already exists. • Delete, primetime is a too common characteristic of notable television series. Marcocapelle (talk) 02:26, 10 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Nominator's rationale: Generally, these songs are linked because of name, fails WP:SHAREDNAME. Then the songs are about something that happened/was imagined to have happened one month, not about THE month. Many of the articles are silent about what the lyrics are about.

The result of the discussion was: rename to Category:Makhnovshchina. (non-admin closure) Extraordinary Writ (talk) 18:18, 17 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Nominator's rationale: I'm not sure how this category got the name "Makhnovism", given that I can't find any real coverage in my sources referencing this term. The only reference I've found is a brief mention by Voline in Peters (1970), and this is hardly enough to justify a whole category being named as such. I propose this be renamed "Makhnovshchina", as this term roughly translates to "Makhno movement", which better encapsulates the articles within the category. • Support per nom and to match parent article. czar 18:41, 9 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support. Makhnovshchina is clearly the main article. By the way, the reason for the category's current name is there once was an article titled Makhnovism but it has since been redirected. Charles Essie (talk) 20:29, 9 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the discussion was: delete all. (non-admin closure) Qwerfjkltalk 18:12, 17 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Nominator's rationale: These categories collect together songs written ‘about’ disparate events, some factual, some fictional, some at the whim of an editor, all at the whim of the songwriter! There is no value to readers to linking Amelia Earhart, Amy Johnson and FDR because they were involved in disparate events that happened in the same decade. NB They are not 'songs about' but songs about events that might have happened... Richhoncho (talk) 09:41, 9 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the discussion was: merge to Category:Books about Russia. (non-admin closure) Qwerfjkltalk 17:43, 17 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Nominator's rationale: merge per WP:SMALLCAT, currently only one article. Marcocapelle (talk) 02:05, 9 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Merge Category is indeed too small. Abhishek0831996 (talk) 06:37, 14 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Populate if possible. I expect there are some books about the Checnya war, for example. Peterkingiron (talk) 14:12, 15 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
