Cryptocurrency pump and dump. References are There's only one survivor of this year's cryptocurrency slaughter: VeChain and Bitcoin's latest rival: THIS currency has SOARED in 2018 as cryptos plummet. Has fallen by more than 50% since those articles were published. Morgan Ginsberg (talk) 23:58, 18 October 2018 (UTC)

- Leaning delete - I did a quick WP:BEFORE on Google News - and literally all the sources were the crypto press, mostly press releases and token pumps. Note that the present article is what's left of the original, after the sea of non-RSes were removed. VeChain is a bit of a WP:TOOSOON - David Gerard (talk) 07:45, 19 October 2018 (UTC)
- Keep - This cryptocurrency is becoming more prominent in this space. Various partnerships and its recent mainnet launch supports this. VeChain is not a pump and dump coin and seems to be stabilizing at its 17-19th rank by market capitalization. - Page 15, Vechain Development Plan: "In the whole process of evolving, our technical team got many supports from lotsof great leaders, like the founder of the Ethereum-Vitalik, the founder of Jaxx-Anthony and many others."
- Here's what Vitalik has said about VeChain: "I have heard the name and met some of the people in China but know almost nothing about what vechain is. I invested nothing into them and am not an advisor." and "What's VeChain? (exagerrating a bit, but seriously, I've never talked about it)"
- Claimed a "partnership" with Oxford University who made VeChain delete their tweets about it. All it turned out to be was a single 1 year blockchain research position "funded by VeChain Foundation".
- Discussion of VeChain was banned for one month on the largest cryptocurrency subreddit for vote manipulation earlier this year. Morgan Ginsberg (talk) 07:21, 21 October 2018 (UTC)
