There's basically nothing on this page; if sources could be found in either Japanese or American the page could be expanded. However there's been no edits since 2011. Gaming4JC (talk) 03:03, 11 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

  • Keep with major expansion and sourcing. As ja:島田正吾 notes Shimada has won multiple awards for his acting career and has multiple GBooks sources discussing him, easily passing notability. Too bad the article was abandoned for some time, but new edits are popping up again since this AFD is posted. 野狼院ひさし Hisashi Yarouin 10:47, 11 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • Kaep Shimada is a major actor, mainly of the stage (the article is thus wrong on this point), but also film and television. There is even a book on him: [1]. Here are some obituaries: [2], [3], etc. And Asahi Shinbun's Kotobank has several encyclopedia entries, including a long one from the Geino jinbutsu jiten that lists over a dozen awards: [4], [5]. Passes WP:NACTOR. Michitaro (talk) 17:10, 11 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep per above accurate analysis and links. Passes WP:ANYBIO, WP:GNG and WP:NACTOR. Cavarrone 06:24, 12 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
