WP:BLP of a person notable primarily as a smalltown municipal councillor and as yet unelected candidate in a future election. As always, neither of these are claims that pass WP:NPOL: to derive notability from a federal election he has to win the seat, not just run for it, and to be notable as a city councillor he would have to either serve in a global city on the order of Chicago or Toronto or be referenceable to a depth and volume and range of coverage that marked him out as much more special than most other city councillors. But nothing here does that at all: five of the six footnotes are primary sources that do not count as support for notability at all -- and the other one is the routine "party selects candidate" piece from a community hyperlocal, which is not enough coverage to make him permanently notable just for being a candidate. As always, no prejudice against recreation on or after October 20 if he wins, but nothing here is a reason why he would already qualify to have an article today. Delete Not notable enough to keep at this time. Article can be recreated if he wins in the fall federal election. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Kevinhanit (talkcontribs) 00:08, 13 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete Non-notable municipal politican and future federal candidate do not meet WP:NPOL. Use of Wikipedia as free election advertising would violate WP:PROMO. Open to re-creating if and when he wins in October. Bkissin (talk) 20:36, 17 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete Per the nom. Fails WP:NPOL and WP:PROMO. Newshunter12 (talk) 06:29, 18 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
