The result was withdrawn. It was obvious that there was a language barrier here. If one possibly WP:VOA hadn't constantly repurposed the article into something else, this wouldn't have happened. Apart from the constant repurposing and possible hoaxing, no significant coverage can be found for this person. Player only scored once during his pro career and was most likely not a part of any starting lineup. Fails WP:ATHLETE and WP:GNG. Jalen Folf (talk) 23:35, 25 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Keep - For now. Language barrier, so the AfD process needs to be proper - we cannot claim they fail GNG without searching Persian/Arabic. The article has a translation, which seems right, but it brings up 3,890,000 results - even adding Esteghlal's translated name yields 2,500,000 results. More than likely they aren't all about this person but we shouldn't assume. NFOOTY passed, though that needs verifying. A quick search with the supposed translation brings up [1] which suggests (difficult to know for sure, could be a different player... which would prove the language barrier.) he spent time in prison, making more sources likely. Keep @JalenFolf: Why do you think it's a hoax? There's been some recent vandalism sure but he scored in 2008 while playing for one of the best supported clubs in Iran according to at least one reliable English language reliable source. Will likely be tough to find WP:GNG due to the length of time and the region but clearly passes WP:FOOTY. [2] SportingFlyer T·C 13:02, 26 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]
