The result was speedy keep. Withdrawing the nomination, as the consensus seems to be strongly to keep, also in view of new content added to the article. Tone 09:53, 23 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Nominated as RD for ITN but the concerns were raised that the subject does not seem to pass WP:CRIME or WP:1EVENT. Ideally, my best solution would be redirecting to Salas article, where the event is mentioned in-depth enough, but my edit was reverted, so I am opening the discussion here. • Keep. Per friendly discussion I've had with Tone at WP:ITNC, I personally think there is enough coverage of the subject in reliable sources that he meets WP:GNG himself. He was a somewhat successful laywer even before the whole Salas thing. As second choice though, I would favour simply moving the article to some title which focuses it on the shooting incident, and refashion it so that his bio is included within that article. That would match the spirit of WP:BLP1E and WP:NOPAGE for subjects like this who satisfy GNG but don't merit their own standalone page. I would oppose merging to Esther Salas, because I don't think it's the best approach to cover another BLP subject in someone else's BLP article. Cheers  — Amakuru (talk) 15:45, 22 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete Textbook case for both WP:CRIME or WP:1EVENT. Every reference in this BLP is about the crime. That these sources attempt to contextualize the crime by giving background of the accused does not impart notability to his prior life. GreatCaesarsGhost 16:21, 22 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
If you google the subject excluding results from 2020, there are many, many RSes. Feoffer (talk) 17:52, 22 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
It's hard to argue for 1EVENT considering he is a suspect in another murder.-- P-K3 (talk) 20:32, 22 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Rename to "Murder of Daniel Anderl", and rewrite intro accordingly, following Amakuru. It fails WP:1EVENT, and personally I feel that person who should be getting attention is his victim and their family, not this guy; we don't want to glorify him or his crime unnecessarily. But there's enough content in this well-sourced article to unbalance the Esther Salas article. (If a substantial portion of a Wikipedia article on me was the biography of my son's murderer, I'd find that rather distressing.) Blythwood (talk) 16:53, 22 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
    • Roy Den Hollander is also a suspect in the 11 July murder of Marc Angelucci. Oppose rename if it turns out he has murdered more than just Daniel Anderl. --Pudeo (talk) 17:46, 22 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep the article subject precedes the events described as relevant, so I this article is notable and should be maintained.-Splinemath (talk) 17:28, 22 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep and rename per Blythwood. I was originally leaning towards a full-on keep because I mistakenly thought this guy appeared in more shows beyond Fox and Comedy Central, which would've justified an article about the suspect himself. But since it was just those two (and I doubt the reliability of both of these sources as reliable, independent sources given the context of the suspect's ideologies), I'd be down for a rename that would reflect the event itself. Love of Corey (talk) 17:35, 22 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep per Amakuru and others -- widespread coverage, multiple media appearances before the attack Feoffer (talk) 17:58, 22 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Given that he is now the suspect in a second murder, this is probably WP:SNOW Feoffer (talk) 22:37, 22 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep. Den Hollander murdered one person notable enough to have his own page (Angelucci), and then shot the family of a second person notable enough to have her own page in an attempt to murder her (Salas). The latter shooting was heavily covered in the media, and the former is getting coverage as well now that he has been connected to it. Additionally, he had a notable presence in the media even before his crimes. HAWTH OFF HEAD TALK 19:36, 22 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep per WP:GNG. Subject was reported in independent sources before 2020 (see Google search result liked above by Feoffer) plus recent coverage surrounding the investigation of two murders. TJMSmith (talk) 20:18, 22 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep Coverage predates the recent events by many years. XOR'easter (talk) 20:25, 22 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep seems to be notable as coverage predates the Salas incident, meaning it cannot be a 1EVENT, and he meets GNG.-- P-K3 (talk) 20:32, 22 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep per Amakuru. The Rambling Man (Stay indoors, stay safe!!!!) 09:10, 23 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
