This is an 822-word article about Rose Liu. The article notes: "Liu, a native of San Francisco, California, is a graduate of New York University with degrees in economics and psychology. Following her graduation, Liu initially worked for her mother back home in Oakland, California, which gave her the opportunity to come to Taiwan and study Mandarin. Liu is no stranger to Taiwan, as it is not only the country where her mother came from, but also the one in which her maternal grandparents still reside, in the Sihhu Township of Yunlin County. During summer holidays in the United States of America, Liu would return to Taiwan to stay in Sihhu and spend her summers."

The article notes: "Practicality led Liu to New York University and degrees in economics and psychology. She began working in real estate and then accounting. But during a 2009 trip to Taiwan to study Mandarin in preparation of taking over her mother’s business, her cousin convinced her to sign up for the 'Super Star Avenue' competition at the height of the show's popularity."

The article notes from Google Translate: "Rose Liu is more in line with everyone's definition of "good girl". Born in the United States, she has always obeyed her parents' arrangements and plans. First, she was admitted to New York University with double majors in psychology and economics. After graduation, she became an accountant. ... Although her participation in the singing competition did not get the full support of her parents, Rose Liu won the runner-up by virtue of her strength."

After 3 years of not doing well, she set up a new music brand "Xiangxiang Studio" and became the principal and struck the bell. She shouldered the responsibility of garnering corporate publicity, doing administration, accounting, price negotiation and other work, and is expected to release a new EP in July."

There is sufficient coverage in reliable sources to allow Rose Liu (simplified Chinese: 刘明湘; traditional Chinese: 劉明湘) to pass Wikipedia:Notability#General notability guideline, which requires "significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject".

  • Comment. In the intro, the nominator indicates that they are basing their nomination on the references. These are the sources in the article. However, per WP:NEXIST: Notability is based on the existence of suitable sources, not on the state of sourcing in an article. The bold is in the source. So we would not miss out on this important guideline! In other words, per nominator's own intro, this article should not have been nominated for deletion. gidonb (talk) 15:50, 4 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
