The result was redirect to South Carolina in the American Civil War. Consensus is that this shouldn't be a separate article. The redirection allows editors to merge content from the history to whichever articles may be appropriate.  Sandstein  09:28, 31 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Comment: The South Carolina in the American Civil War article is in need of secession specific information found in this article regardless of the end result of proposed deletion or merger. I have created a section in that (SC in ACW) article using the most relevant information and sources from this one and augmenting with other parts of the timeline and additional cites.
