Does not meet the standard for notability. He gets a lot of commentary in relation to his famous parents, Ryan O'Neal, and particularly in light of her recent death, Farrah Fawcett, but he is not independently notable. He has done nothing that in itself merits an article. Aside from the fact that he is in jail, he is no more notable than any other non-notable offspring of a famous parent. I had placed a prod tag on this, but as it has been removed without comment, I am listing it here to hopefully gain a wider viewpoint for comment. Rossrs (talk) 02:13, 28 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Delete per WP:NOTINHERITED - He has no notability on his own merit and is mentioned in relative weight on parents' articles. Wildhartlivie (talk) 02:24, 28 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Delete per above. No independent notability established and its not inherited Corpx (talk) 02:55, 28 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Redirect to Ryan_O'Neal#Personal_life where he is mentioned. No need for an AfD. JJL (talk) 03:10, 28 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Speedy delete: I feel sorry for the young man, but he is not notable. This article may be well-intentioned or exploitative, but he is not notable in either event. There is info on him at the Ryan O'Neal article and I added whatever salient info was missing (i.e. full name, derivation of first name, etc). It can/should be deleted speedily. - Speedy delete and NO redirect Not only do I object to the redirect, but I object to the idea that what is neither notable nor appropriately weighted for his own article is nevertheless notable with no weight issue when inserted into his father's article. What one arrived at Ryan O'Neal to find was a passing account of a birth in 1985 and later a whole titled, two-paragraph section composed solely of two brushes with the law at 23 in 2008 and 2009. Those are bookends without the book. Regardless of the tabloidesque media, he should be free to start his next volume without a search at an encyclopedia leading to an elaboration on that low point at Ryan O'Neal's biography. I've edited it back down to the way it appeared prior to the creation of this article. We shouldn't be telling someone which article to read, we should let a search for his name arrive at the "No article title matches" page, where a searcher will find his name highlighted in brief mentions in both his mother's and his father's bios as are specifically relevant to their encyclopedic notability, and be allowed to make their own choice of which to read, if either. He had no interest in being in the public eye and/or his parents largely shielded him from it; in any event, there simply isn't any public information about his life that is notably relevant to an encyclopedia and it isn't our place to expect there to be.
