The result was speedy delete and salt. We have had more than enough of these essays - see this list. I am disgusted at the persistence of the authors and their "dumb insolence" in failing to enter into any discussion. — RHaworth (Talk | contribs) 23:25, 26 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

- (Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs) · FENS · JSTOR · TWL)
Short POV and essayish article on the same topic that was deleted just yesterday. Tagged for speedy as a repost, but the text is entirely different from the one deleted yesterday, so doesn't qualify as a repost. Nyttend (talk) 13:41, 26 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Delete The topic could be an article. But nothing can be salvaged from the posted content. Francium12 14:33, 26 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Delete as an unsourced essay. The topic is mentioned (with sources) at Rock and roll#Cultural impact and is implicated in both African American music#Mid-20th century (1940s-1960s) and Race records. If the negative impacts of racism within the industry or musical form are sufficiently notable, reliable sources treating the topic should be cited. I note, too, a vague similarity with The decline of rock 'n' roll at the end of the 1950s, which according to its talk page was created as a hoax "to see how long it took to be deleted". I have no evidence that the two articles are related, however. Cnilep (talk) 20:53, 26 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- There are appear to be two simultaneous AfD discussions for this page. I will copy my comments to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Racism in early rock music. Cnilep (talk) 20:58, 26 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Delete It's not the same article that was deleted yesterday, but it has the exact same title because there's some schoolteacher who has assigned this topic to his or her students, and who has the idea that Wikipedia is supposed to be a place for students to do their homework. Not a great start to the new school year. Mandsford (talk) 21:14, 26 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Comment RHaworth has deleted this and recreated it as a fully-protected redirect to Rock and roll#Race. Would someone please close this discussion? Nyttend (talk) 23:21, 26 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
