No evidence of notability Rathfelder (talk) 15:40, 6 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

  • Comment: I remember when this came out, so I'm surprised at the lack of coverage I'm finding. Most of what I'm seeing are things that comment on the humor of him writing this, then following it up years later with “God, Guns, Grits and Gravy.” None of it is in-depth criticism, mostly just poking fun at the difference in the titles. I'll keep digging. Tokyogirl79 (。◕‿◕。) 04:29, 7 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • Redirect to Mike_Huckabee#Weight_loss_and_health_advocacy. I'm actually surprised that there's no in-depth coverage of this book. There are plenty of name drops of the book, but nothing that actually specifically talks about the book, as the coverage seems to be almost entirely about his political career and his weight loss advocacy in general. This section in his article covers the book to a degree, so I think that a redirect would be best in this case. No harm in leaving the history intact in case someone does manage to dig anything up, though. Tokyogirl79 (。◕‿◕。) 04:35, 7 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • Unsure - Huckabee's writings have garnered some attention (positive and negative) in the past month, so this might be notable. Bearian (talk) 20:37, 7 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

  • The problem though, is that this book is only mentioned in passing. We need more than "Huckabee wrote X" or a brief mention in relation to his weight loss or advocacy in general. There weren't even any reviews out there that I could find, and I don't know that his writings as a whole gaining new notice is really something that would give notability in and of itself.
