Princeton University Mathematics Competition[edit]

Merge into Princeton University. It seems notable enough to be a subtopic of Princeton's page, but I fail to see how it needs its own article. Supernerd11 :D Firemind ^_^ Pokedex 17:45, 7 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Delete and do not merge. This lacks independent notability but would violate WP:UNDUE to be added to the main article of Princeton University, a large institution of which this is a tiny facet. —David Eppstein (talk) 02:46, 8 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
- PS I added a courtesy notice to Talk:Princeton University suggesting that editors of that article who might have an opinion about being required to include this topic in their article come here to discuss it, since otherwise they would only likely find out about the proposed change to their article after the AfD closes. —David Eppstein (talk) 08:07, 8 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Delete.I search in google and it seem to me that the event is not notable at all. Such events keep on happening in many institutions all over the world. So I think the article should be deleted(WP:NNC). Unatnas1986 (talk) 08:00, 8 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Delete without merging as not notable. I can find no independent coverage in reliable sources, and the competition does not appear to be influential or particularly well known among high school mathematics competitions. Normally I am an advocate for merging, but I agree with David Eppstein that including really any portion of this in Princeton University would give it undue weight. Delete It's not an official activity of the university, but a student activity. Student activities can be important enough to be mentioned, and many are in the university article, but this one does not seem to be. I checked the index to the Princeton student newspaper, the Daily Princetonian, back to 2007, and found no articles on it. DGG ( talk ) 16:39, 10 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
