Philip Powell passed away in 2015 and unfortunately the article was not updated to reflect this. I'm contacting his wife to see whether she wants the page to remain but in the meantime I will update it to reflect this John McCartney (talk) 04:21, 15 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete: WP:RELPEOPLE says "Heads of large, Protestant denominations are generally found to be notable for having of reached this office", but his job as General Secretary of Assemblies of God in Australia does not qualify as this. Its article indicates that its national leader was then called the Superintendent, and that Andrew Evans was Superintendent when Powell was General Secretary. Most of the sources appear to be church organisations with which Powell was associated, these are not independent sources. The only independent sources that are available online are two major Australian newspapers,[1][2] but these have only passing references to him and have insufficient depth for WP:NBASIC. I have not found any additional reliable sources with a web search. Verbcatcher (talk) 17:39, 17 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
