WP:BLP1E. I had initially tried to redirect this to Govindaya Namaha because that was the only thing that the article indicated he was notable for; RHaworth reverted the redirection and proposed it for deletion, and then Fram removed the prod with rationale "won an award (may fail at AfD, but not ProD material IMO)"! • Keep, not BLP1E at all. He is the director of Govindaya Namaha, for which he won an award, and the remake of it Potugadu; the writer and director of Googly (film), and the director of the upcoming film Dheera Rana Vikrama. His films are among the most succesful in an admittedly smaller but quite active film industry. Fram (talk) 12:28, 5 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

  • Keep The subject is a award winning film director in a language which is spoken by about 50,000,000 people in Karnataka,India. Rayabhari (talk) 08:09, 15 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep Even had he made only one film, we wouldn't normally call it BLP1E, which normally refers to people caught up in news events or internet memes not pursing a career. Vut he seems to have made at least one successful film, and received an award for it. That meets our usual standard here. How to deal with someone primarily notable for a single work is difficult--I would usually not remove the article on the person, because it is likely to be expanded--anyone making one well-received creative work normally makes more of them.
