Comment - A search of the Northampton Chronicle reveals some trivial mentions for a league of a similar name (one mentions it plays on a Thursday whereas this article claims to be a Monday league). The Northampton Mercury has no hits at all really. Spiderone 10:54, 19 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
- The reference to the "NORTHAMPTON AND DISTRICT THURSDAY LEAGUE" is from an article dated 1907, so clearly not the same competition...... -- ChrisTheDude (talk) 10:58, 19 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

My main aim with those searches was to see if the league actually did go back further than 2003. It doesn't appear that it did or, if it did, it was just not notable. Spiderone 11:50, 19 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
