I'm sure I've seen it explained to you several times before that a topic is regarded as notable if it passes either the general notability guideline or one of the special guidelines. There is no requirement to pass both. Phil Bridger (talk) 16:13, 4 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Comment - If a subject passes the general notability guideline, then there is no need for it to pass other notability guidelines. The reason we have notability is to make sure that a reliable article can be written from a sufficient amount of coverage in reliable sources. Notability guidelines exist to provide instances where we can assume such coverage exists. If such coverage does exist, then the topic is notable, regardless of other guidelines.
