Not enough in-depth coverage to show it passes WP:GNG, and it certainly doesn't pass WP:NBOOK. In its current incarnation, it would also be the subject of WP:TNT, as it is simply a promotion for the book and the author. Onel5969 TT me 21:04, 27 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

  • Keep - Deletion is strongly objected. There is no reason for abrupt deletion of this article which was originally published six months back on 21.01.2017 under the prescribed Wikipedia policy for creation of articles. The article met the basic criterion for publication. It is not promotional in any way. The essay on the book “My Thousand Sons” has a special purpose of inspiring readers who wish to know how people with serious disabilities like cerebral palsy and mental retardation find out ways of celebrating their lives in their own ways amidst gloom and pessimism. It is a self help inspirational book for which the foreword is written by non other than Ms. Dipti Umashankar, IAS, Joint Secretary attached to Prime Minister of India. This adds high credibility to this spiritual work. Dr. Rajesh Bhola is one of the outstanding spiritual writers the country has. Reference may be made to The Speaking Tree of The Times of India and The Inner Voice of The Hindustan Times published from India for his articles published in these dailies apart from his regular columns in the popular periodicals viz The Power Politics and Friday Gurgaon. The title of the book suggests that the writer worked with one thousand persons with such neuro skeletal and loco-motor dysfunctions and is his tribute to such persons with disabilities. The deletion of the article will be prejudicial to the interests and sensibilities of the social workers and inspirational writers who work for such deprived persons with great passion and dedication. How can Wikipedia delete such an article which has such a positive purpose and great social relevance! By any parameters the article which has been there for six long months should not be arbitrarily deleted and must be retained for a higher cause for benefit of the general masses. Wikipedia has served humanity by enlightening people with knowledge and awareness on areas which were hitherto hidden from them. Why deprive readers from the additional knowledge which My Thousand Sons imparts? It is greatly unfair on part of Wikipedia to think of deleting an article which has stayed with them for six months and proposed to be erratically deleted without any adverse reporting by any of the readers. We hope the wisdom dawns and the trust of the masses in Wikipedia is reinforced by non deletion of this (Sombir9555 (talk) 06:49, 29 July 2017 (UTC))[reply]
  • Delete - Fails WP:NBOOK and WP:GNG. No reliable sources have reviewed this. Wikipedia is not the place to inspire masses~or advertise books. Jupitus Smart 13:02, 28 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
