List of professionals based on their religion is not what an encyclopedia should have per WP:NOT. Not to mention that it violates WP:BLP as it is completely unsourced.

- Delete – Yes, the list fails WP:LISTPEOPLE. It also fails to explain why this particular association of creed and profession is notable. Perhaps it should be converted into a category? Regards, RJH (talk) 19:42, 21 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
- Categories are more stringent regarding such intersections; see WP:OCAT, and Muslim actors CFD. And nothing more specific than Category:Indian Muslims currently exists. postdlf (talk) 00:48, 22 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
- Religion is a significant biographical fact, and we have many categories and lists of [notable] people by religion no less than by place of origin, educational institution, year of birth, etc. BLP is not violated irrevocably where it can fixed by being sourced, so that's a very poor rationale to push in this AFD. The problem is instead here that the list is far too narrow and consequently arbitrary, as it's a List of Indian Muslim actors working in the Bollywood film industry, something I would not consider valid unless it could pass WP:LISTN, a standard I go to only because it is not a standard or obvious indexing classification for navigational or organizational purposes that would satisfy WP:LISTPURP. So delete for those reasons. If someone simply wants to list Indian Muslim actors, the way to do it would be to create List of Indian Muslims and subdivide by field, just as List of American Muslims is done. And that would be a valid index of article subjects by shared biographical fact. postdlf (talk) 00:48, 22 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
