Poorly sourced biography, full of peacock puffery (my favorite: "he always stood like an unshakeable mountain, what come may, till the matter settled as just and justified."). Notability per WP:ANYBIO dubious. bender235 (talk) 11:44, 16 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

- Keep Smile about the English used in the article, but some have more trouble with the language than others (editing/correcting is always possible). The style might not be what we want in an English encyclopedia but I'm convinced it's driven by cultural differences, so can be adjusted too. The sources seem okay, what is wrong with them? I see reasons for editing but not for deleting the article as it's a notable person from what I find; receiver of the 3rd highest civilian award in India and thousands of followers around the world. --DeVerm (talk) 13:59, 16 July 2011 (UTC).[reply]
- Keep The article in The Hindu is a good reference and he meets WP:POLITICIAN as an Indian state legislator elected four times. We should improve rather than deleting articles about notable topics. Cullen328 (talk) 16:20, 16 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

- Keep. Terribly written but still notable. Subject passes WP:POLITICIAN and references check out. • Gene93k (talk) 18:52, 17 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
- Keep I've stripped out a lot of the puffery. When that's removed, we're left with a notable regional politician. Valenciano (talk) 18:38, 20 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
- Keep – Need some wikification (so tagged for "wikify"), but a Padma Bhushan recipient is definitely a notable personality. — Bill william comptonTalk 04:26, 23 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
- Keep Cabinet member and Padma Bhushan strongly suggests a keep to me. Stuartyeates (talk) 05:01, 23 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
