List of science fiction anime[edit]

Obsolete, entire list has been categorized into either Category:Science fiction anime or Category:Mecha anime. Deproded by Kappa with no reason given. --TheFarix (Talk) 13:40, 12 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete as much less manageable than Category:Science fiction anime. What does this do that the category doesn't? Two things that I can see: hold redlinks (which are not supposed to be here, per the introduction), and contain cross-references for a handful of entries. I don't see that either justifies keeping a list that's even formatted to look like a category, largely duplicates a category, contains no additional information not present in the category for the vast majority of entries, and must be laboriously maintained, all the more so because the page's two-column design must be organised by hand. — Haeleth Talk 15:13, 16 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

  • Comment — I frequently see that "red link" argument in favor of keeping lists. But the red links could just as easily be added to the category page as a bulleted list, and they're already on the list of requested articles page.
