no notability asserted; lacks citations Mr. E. Sánchez Wanna know my story?/ Share yours with me! 01:28, 19 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Weakkeep Is this the highest level of professional basketball in Mexico? If so, then it's a definite keep. DarkAudit (talk) 01:37, 19 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]- Keep translated, it is the National Professional Basketball League, probably the highest professional league. "Liga Nacional de Baloncesto Profesional (LNBP) is the top professional basketball league in Mexico" is definitely an assertion of notability. Suggest nom re-visit this. Improvement is needed, not deletion. TravellingCari 02:11, 19 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
- Keep Dennis Rodman did play in the league, which is a decent claim to fame. I'll look for refs on the other players. Zagalejo^^^ 04:00, 19 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
- Strong Keep Is the top basketball league in Mexico, also the league's top clubs played the first FIBA Americas League, the tournament was broadcasted by FOX Sports, and the final stage was played in northwestern Mexico. JC 22:46, 18 July 2008 (PST)
- Keep. Professional sports league. Obviously should be kept. Should never have been nominated. -- Necrothesp (talk) 17:15, 19 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
- Strong keep, very notable obviously. --ChaChaFut (talk) 18:34, 19 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
- Slam dunk keep I'm not sure the basis for the nomination by Mr. E. Sanchez (one might say it's a "Mister E"), since the "LNBP" does assert notability as the senior pro basketball league in Mexico. If nominator thinks that's not notable enough, he is mistaken. That notwithstanding, Sanchez is right that it could use some more sourcing besides just the league website; the info from FoxSports can be added as a start.
