Landmine (song)[edit]

Landmine (song) (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views) – (View log · Stats)

The article fails the Notability guidelines for songs in Wikipedia as not only none of the three bullet points in the guidelines are met, but also there is not a single "subject of multiple, non-trivial published works whose sources are independent of the artist and label." Furthermore, in the links, there is one interview with the artist "This excludes media reprints of press releases or other publications where the artist, its record label, agent, or other self-interested parties advertise or speak about the work", which is the case of Elicit as it clearly states on the site that is a press release. The "One to watch" source is under a discussion for being unreliable, See here as it published under Live Nation umbrella, so it is biased. There is only one source that is reliable "Variance", however, it should be multiple according to the guidelines above, which it is not the case. • Redirect to Finneas O'Connell: Per nominator. The song has been mentioned in a number of articles, but was barely discussed. ASTIG😎 (ICE TICE CUBE) 16:27, 1 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete (my preference) or Redirect to Finneas O'Connell - We have a bunch of new song articles related to this singer, all from a user named DarklyShadows who is surely enthusiastic about providing information on the songs, but might be unfamiliar with the requirements at WP:NSONG. A song is not notable just because it was released as a single. It needs to become a matter of reliable media coverage in its own right. If not, the article is just fan trivia and that is not appropriate for Wikipedia. ---DOOMSDAYER520 (Talk|Contribs) 18:21, 1 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
