Keep: - Dutt was the Director General of the National Security Guard of India, so how you can say he isn't notable when he literally was in charge of the National Security Guard and led the commando forces during the 2008 Mumbai attacks is wrong. Ladislyzk77 (talk) 11:17, 20 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Delete Fails WP:GNG, WP:BIO. Merely holding an important role doesn't automatically confer notability. I could not find any source that talks about his work other than news about his demise. I'm could reconsider my vote if WP:HEY RationalPuff (talk) 11:06, 21 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Keep If you search for sources now, you would get the impression that all coverage of him concerns his death. If restrict your search to filter anything out prior to his death however, you still get a lot of hits associated with his role in the Mumbai terrorist attacks. Random examples: 1, 2, 3, but I'm getting pages and pages of hits. I haven't dug too deeply into the refs, but WP:BLP1E doesn't seem to apply, and I expect there would be enough there to support an article - in which case, this article needs improving, rather than deleting.
