  • Keep Passes WP:GNG with sources already in the article, for instance [1][2][3] - Alvaldi (talk) 08:44, 11 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Speedy Keep no reason given for nomination.--User:Namiba 13:26, 11 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep - clearly has WP:SIGCOV so I can't see why this is up for deletion Spiderone 15:01, 11 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Comment: it's up for deletion since the nominator claims he is the subject and wants it deleted. Geschichte (talk) 15:58, 11 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep - Meets WP:GNG. Not sure why the creator’s request needs to be honored (whether he is the subject or not). As we all know, once you add to Wikipedia it isn’t your “property” anymore. I don’t see any WP:BLP concerns with the prose and the creator hasn’t given a reason other than “I don’t want it anymore.” If the concern is the birthdate, that could be removed though if you Google the subject it is widely available. • Delete It’s my opinion that this article doesn’t meet the criteria for biographies of living persons because the subject does not pass the notability (people) criteria. For nobility (sports), the subject is a basketball player but he does not meet any of the criteria:

Basketball figures are presumed notable if they 1. Have appeared in one game as either a player or head coach in the original American Basketball Association, Liga ACB, EuroLeague, National Basketball Association, National Basketball League (Australia), National Basketball League (United States), Lega Basket Serie A, Women's National Basketball Association, Greek Basket League, or Israeli Basketball Premier League. 2. Were selected in the first two rounds of the NBA draft. 3. Have won an award, or led the league in a major statistical category, of the Continental Basketball Association or NBA G League. The subject meets none of this criteria--User:Innosport99 23:54, 11 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Innosport99: The WP:NBASKETBALL guideline states it is used to help evaluate whether or not a sports person or sports league/organization (amateur or professional) is likely to meet the general notability guideline, and thus merit an article in Wikipedia. It further states failure to meet these criteria does not mean an article must be deleted as it still has to pass WP:GNG. The subject of the article passes WP:GNG as it has significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject. - Alvaldi (talk) 08:58, 12 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
However the question here is should we still have the article in the face of the living subject of the article not wanting us to have an article on them.John Pack Lambert (talk) 16:04, 12 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete Chatman was never so notable that we absolutely have to have an article on him. If he wants some privacy now that he has left public basketball play we should respect this desire.John Pack Lambert (talk) 14:34, 12 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep As mentioned above, there are sufficient sources to meet GNG, and it's very possible I would have created the article if User:Innosport99 did not. If Innosport is indeed Chatman, we can remove some personal details like date of birth if he wishes, although this information is easily found online. There are no real grounds for deleting this though -- it doesn't defame him and is well sourced. ~EDDY (talk/contribs)~ 18:09, 12 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete We could create articles about thousands of other collegiate turned small level pro athletes in a variety of sports. It was requested to be deleted and there is no good reason to this keep this article so favor I deletion.User:Watsonc779 (talk) 22:56, 12 November 2020 (UTC) Watsonc779 (talkcontribs) has made few or no other edits outside this topic. • Keep. Meets WP:GNG, per all above. Like Rikster said, nothing in the article is even remotely controversial, so there are no legitimate BLP concerns here. If things like his religion, names of his parents/girlfriend, etc. need to be removed, that is an editing issue, not a deletion issue. Ejgreen77 (talk) 05:19, 13 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete Hasn't played in any notable basketball leagues. There's no need for this article. SirAlbertEinstein (talk) 14:53, 14 November 2020 (UTC) SirAlbertEinstein (talkcontribs) has made few or no other edits outside this topic. [reply]
  • Keep. As per all. Sabrebofr (talk) 12:13, 19 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
