He may or may not be notable enough. His managerial career is not terribly notable, and his minor league career--well, that's up for you to decide. He had a long minor league career, but is it notable enough? Alex (talk) 07:44, 9 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Keep. Minor league players are not assumed to be inherently notable. But in my view, this guy's verified career stats strongly suggest notability (more as a player than a manager).Note I consider my argument to have been refuted. --Mkativerata (talk) 07:49, 9 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]- Can you lead us non-baseballers through the stats? If he's got some sort of record, it could be a viable article. Unfortunately, I can't make heads nor tails of the stats. - Mgm|(talk) 11:31, 9 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Delete - nothing I can see in the article even claims notability. Never called up or considered for the major leagues, and considering even major leaguers had off-season jobs well into the mid-20th century, being a minor league player was even less likely to confer notability in the early 20th century. I might be convinced if somebody found a reason to claim notability, but I don't see it right now. Frank | talk 11:51, 9 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Delete a long career in the minors is just that, a career in the minors. Stats are not proof of notability. They just show he played long enough to amass them. DarkAudit (talk) 15:40, 9 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

- Delete. A single citation to a site that shows his statistics is not sufficient to establish notability of a minor league player. See WP:BASE/N and WP:NOTDIRECTORY. BRMo (talk) 03:39, 11 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
