...a local film critic not notable to the rest of the world. "Claim" to fame is occasionally interviewing notables. A Leydon article is along the same line as articles for local news anchors and radio hosts (which are deleted on a regular basis) – 95% of them are un-established relative to the rest of the world, thus not notable. It should also be noted that primary contributor to the article (User:JoeLeydon) is presumably the subject himself. Bat ears (talk) 19:28, 8 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Keep While the WP:COI is regrettable, it is not a reason for deletion. Mr. Leydon appears to be a prominent U.S. film critic and a Google search confirms this. What the article really needs is a good rewrite. Pastor Theo (talk) 22:20, 8 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

- Keep. Yes, he was a local critic when he worked for the Houston Post, but now he works for Variety which is anything but local. Being a regular critic and correspondent for such a major magazine means he's notable. - Mgm|(talk) 10:45, 9 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Keep, seems reasonably notable. Stifle (talk) 10:41, 11 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Keep although it needs reliable sources to be put in. Morbidthoughts (talk) 18:48, 12 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
