The result was delete. Consensus is to delete, yes the player technically meets NFOOTY, but his career is now finished and he played only a handful of games with no indication that these led to sufficient significant coverage to satisfy gng. Fenix down (talk) 08:22, 29 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Keep - easily meets NFOOTBALL, and there are sources out there - nearly 40,000 in Google News for 'Israel Vargas futbol'. Has nominator complied with WP:BEFORE? Giant Snowman 11:37, 22 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Delete - he technically passes NFOOTBALL due to playing just under 200 mins of professional football. I have tried a search but I can't actually find any sources about this particular Israel Vargas. There are namesakes coming up here and here but neither of them seem notable either. Looks like he fails WP:GNG but ping me if something is found about this particular Israel Vargas. Delete - Article about former footballer (and current semi-pro football manager) who had a brief playing career with Atlante's second division affiliate club (which theoretically satisfies NFOOTBALL). If you search Israel Vargas Potros (or Israel Vargas Atlante), there are a few hits, but no in-depth coverage (this announcement of his managerial appointment is as detailed as it gets - one sentence).
