Hotel on Rivington[edit]

This hotel exists, and was briefly up for purchase by Jared Kushner. That generated many name drops of the hotel, but there is no significant, in depth coverage that establishes notability for the hotel. It does not appear to be architecturally distinct, or any other element of notability. It was in the news, yes, but if you look at the results, they're not about the hotel so much as the potential sale. Star Mississippi 22:34, 5 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Delete fails WP:GNG. The fact that the Kushners were involved doesn't really add to notability. LibStar (talk) 23:58, 5 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

KEEP I guess none of the delete voters, did a Google news search. I have added several new citations, including Newsweek (ranked it as one of Top 7 Lower East Side of Manhattan hotels), WWD, NY Post, therealdeal.com and boweryboogie.com. based on significant coverage it meets notability. Comment: Much of that is about the Kushners, which I mentioned in the nomination. That extended family blinks and the media jumps, it doesn't confer notability to the hotel. Also, hasn't NYP (and most definitely Page 6) been deprecated? Star Mississippi 14:21, 6 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Comment: No they are not. I provided 5 new citations. 4 do not mention the Kushners, one does, but its also not entirely about the Kushners deal. Regarding NY Post/Page 6 WP:RSP says: "There is consensus that the New York Post is generally unreliable for factual reporting especially with regard to politics" however, this article is not about politics, so the info can be considered reliable. Sources 3,4,7 and 8 are about the Kushners as of this edit (just using for diff, no issue with your edit) are related to the Kushner possible sale. Agree to disagree on this, and look forward to what others have to say Star Mississippi 01:17, 7 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Delete Run-of-the-mill NYC "luxury" hotel with no indications of notability. Not even sure which guideline to apply - whether some WP:NBUILD or perhaps NCORP?
