No indication of need for this article to exist; neither are there any other such articles for the Finnish Air Force. There is not even a "History of the Finnish Air Force" article. No sourcing present. Low-quality prose. Redirect not recommended as this article is an orphan. ♠Vami_IV†♠ 19:16, 31 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

  • The start date makes sense to me ("after Continuation War and Lapland War"), and I assume the end date was selected using the purchase of Mig-21s as the milestone. IIRC, before that the FAF was flying all kinds of weird stuff it could get as cheaply as possible. If a bunch of period articles for the FAF were to be created, this wouldn't be a bad title.-Ljleppan (talk) 09:25, 1 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Comment Given that there clearly are a lot of sources available based on the relevant fiWP article (fi:Suomen_ilmavoimien_historia), I'd be opposed to deletion. Draftifying sounds more reasonable, especially in light of how recently the article was created. -Ljleppan (talk) 09:32, 1 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep but tag for improvement -- A large part of Finnish Air Force is on its history. This is on one section of history and this one follows a common WP pattern of having an overview article with more detailed "main" articles. This article is of a standard that was common in the early days of WP, but needs properly referencing and a better lede. I am not sure why the termination date of 1960 is chosen; in fact the text mentions 1966. The start date is appropriate, as marking the end of the WWII period Finnish wars. Draftifying is a possibility, but does not allow other editors to help improving it. WP:DONOTBITE applies, as this article was created on 26 December, by its creator inserting 13kb of text, which he then spent a while tweeking. Peterkingiron (talk) 14:07, 1 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

The creator has created other articles without sources in the last few days, eg 15 cm haubits m/06, I think we could and should bite quite hard.GraemeLeggett (talk) 12:05, 2 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Just as well admins are no longer autopatrolled then.Mccapra (talk) 00:15, 7 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Draftify: This is a subject that is noteworthy. But this is not the article for it, and no sources persist. I suggest we build a page called History of the Finnish Air Force and then discuss the draft after it's done. Dunutubble (talk) 21:49, 1 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete or draft, just get it out of mainspace. Poor prose and lack of sourcing - the content is not wikipedia article quality. GraemeLeggett (talk) 11:24, 2 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep but tag for improvement - as per Peterkingiron, there are space limits on how big a page should be (as Wikipedia is an encyclopedia)...so creating sub pages like this is normal and what we need to do. Deathlibrarian (talk) 08:17, 3 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Draftify- This article is completely unsourced, the criteria for determining it's scope does not appear to have a basis in historiography (whatever logical deductions were might make, sources should support our choices), and its formatting and prose style are poor. Move it to draft space for reworking. -Indy beetle (talk) 08:49, 7 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
