This page is supposed to be a split out from the main article, but the History section on the main article is has more info making this page redundant. —JJBers 17:17, 11 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

  • Comment, the main article, Hartford, Connecticut is presently around 10,500 words, the high end of readability so having its history split off seems like a good idea, looks like a case of moving text not deletion. Coolabahapple (talk) 23:00, 11 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Comment. I agree with Coolabahapple. Most of the information in the main should be removed in favor of this article. Markvs88 (talk) 02:17, 12 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep and edit both articles to conform with WP:SUMMARY in keeping with the above comments. 24.151.50.175 (talk) 16:14, 12 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep. I wonder if this could be expanded into History of Hartford County, Connecticut, to make it more notable. That would be outside of AfD, however. Redditaddict69 (talk) (contribs) 01:26, 14 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep. Editing is required. Even if someone actually taking the time to edit in this area decided to cover the topic entirely in the Hartford article instead, it would not be appropriate to delete this, but rather it would then be redirected. --Doncram (talk) 12:47, 15 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Comment Splitting the main article sounds like a good idea from me, so I'm going to change to Keep. (Not sure if I can do that since I'm the nom, so I'll just make this.) —JJBers 16:24, 15 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
User:JJBers Public, if you're the nominator and want to withdraw and there are no opposing votes, as here, you can just go ahead and close the AFD early, and that would be better rather than continuing to demand that more editors read and consider this AFD. Instructions are probably at wp:AFD. Someone else probably could close it early, too. This is ready to be closed. --Doncram (talk) 00:30, 16 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep. It's entirely reasonable to have aarticles on the history of significant cities.E.M.Gregory (talk) 16:16, 16 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
