Keep. WP:NACADEMIC criterion 5 states: "The person holds or has held a named chair appointment or distinguished professor appointment at a major institution of higher education". It says right in the lede that the subject of the article was a distinguished professor at Ohio University. Article is terribly formatted and needs a clean up like whoa but it does meet WP:NACADEMIC.
