Well the article appears to go into some depth about the painting and the artist but I can find no evidence this painting is notable.
Yes, it's extremely likely it's a copyvio, but I can't find the source StarM 04:22, 15 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

- Delete Doesn't seem to be notable apart from its dubious attribution, many sites refer to it as being by Raja Ravi Varma. pablohablo. 10:24, 15 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Keep in some form Notability should not be an issuec - see [1]. The painting is clearly famous in India. The dispute over the attribution needs more coverage, and the recent additions may be coipyvios, but the article has been in since 2005 & there are earlier versions that could be gone back to. - Comment when you tweak the search so that it doesn't include anything with the word woman and lamp, there are far fewer results. I see evidence it exists, nothing that provides notability. Being around since 2005 is meaningless, standards were different then. I'm not saying it can't be saved -- maybe someone will find actual sources -- but just because it has been here for so long doesn't mean it should remain. I'm working on the 2007 notability backlog and there's a lot of junk there. StarM 15:47, 15 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Don't look at the numbers - look at the results for the 1st 2 pages. It is clearly one of the sights of Mysore & so easily meets notability standards. Note esp. The Hindu, South India's best-selling English paper I think. There are more hits for the other title in fact. Johnbod (talk) 15:57, 15 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Comment. By all possibility, the painting in question does not belongs to S.L. Haldankar as claimed in the article. The only reliable source I could find is the Hindu article which attributes the paintings to Raja Ravi Varma. Salih (talk) 16:53, 15 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Sorry, it was a slip on my part. I searched the Hindu article with the keyword Haldankar (the spelling used in the article Glow of hope) and found no results. Salih (talk) 04:22, 16 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

- Comment: I have found a couple of possibilities for the copyvio source. Take a look at this Google search, and look at especially the last result when the "similar results" are included. It seems that only the first paragraph is a copyright problem, though. Quantumobserver (talk) 07:28, 20 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Update: Copyvio fixed. Quantumobserver (talk) 07:32, 20 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Keep. The article in The Hindu and other sources found by Johnbod's search above already demonstrate notability, but for a bit of icing on the cake a Google Books search finds a couple of book sources describing this work as "famous" and "remarkable".
