NN musician, fails WP:CREATIVE and the GNG as a standalone article, and one of a number of articles about 1960s beat musicians (created by an editor who's been fighting redirects tooth and nail and without edit summaries) which are now up at AfD. Complete lack of significant coverage to the subject. Seeking a redirect to Gerry and the Pacemakers, the notable group of which the subject was a member. • Merge to Gerry and the Pacemakers - insufficient for standalone article. --Whiteguru (talk) 07:13, 30 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • Merge and Redirect Merge what is there, if possible and redirect. scope_creepTalk 09:11, 30 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • Comment, Freddie would definitely have been well known about at the time and the British Newspaper Archive have many references to him, though largely seem to be trivial (I can't check though as it's behind a paywall). I did find a significant posthumous article on him here although as yet cannot find sigcov from multiple sources. The band is very notable and he was a founding member, but I don't know how inherited his notability is from his brother/the band. Bungle (talkcontribs) 10:25, 30 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • Merge : He isn't known for anything notable outside the band, And all his articles are trivia. There's not even one article of why his important as an individual. this topic don't even qualify for a Sub article, firstly because of poor resources and mainly because he is deceased and chances are there won't be any notable articles or press about him in future. • Merge and Redirect to Gerry and the Pacemakers. I am hoping to solidify a consensus with this vote, but there is actually very little to merge to the band's article except the statement about his death. He does not qualify for a standalone article because he did nothing notable outside the band; see WP:NOTINHERITED. His brother qualifies for a separate article though. ---DOOMSDAYER520 (TALK|CONTRIBS) 19:34, 30 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Absolutely, and Gerry Marsden does have one, which is well-sourced, attests to the significant coverage he's received, and is under zero threat of deletion or redirecting. Ravenswing 22:12, 30 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
