FlexRAID[edit]

Sources used in this article do not show evidence of wiki-notability—they consist entirely of pages in other wikis, forum posts, and some primary sources (documentation etc.) I tried to find some independent sources myself, but all I could find in Google Books about "FlexRaid" is that another company (American Megatrends) used to make (or perhaps even still does) firmware under this name/trademark. I wasn't able to turn up any independent coverage of Bakayoko's FlexRAID (the subject of this article). Someone not using his real name (talk) 23:30, 19 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Delete ~~Keep, but rewrite~~: Seems like this software product is still used by a certain number of people, at least according to the product forum, and now it seems to be called RAID-F. ~~So, I'd say we should keep the article, but have it rewritten according to the already present hatnotes.~~ Though, at the same time it seems there are no notable sources available, not even for rewriting the article as a basic stub so it fits the Wikipedia rules. - Rewrite based on what? The sources (forums, wikis) fall below the WP:GNG standard. Being "used by a certain number of people" isn't good enough. My cars, my house, and plenty of custom software I wrote are "used by a certain number of people", but that doesn't justify Wikipedia articles for them. Delete: FlexRAID and Transparent RAID are not open standards but rather proprietary implementations of RAID. Both terms are trademarked brand names. It's clear the original authors were advertizing, as Chronomaster5779 voiced on the talk page. I would vote to merge with RAID, but as Dsimic pointed out, the sources are unreliable. – voidxor ^{(talk | contrib)} 02:03, 22 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
